About Donna
Grounded in warmth. Guided by evidence.
I'm Donna Vincent, a registered psychologist with over 20 years of experience supporting people from all walks of life. Throughout my career I've worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, women's health, and much more.
I have a strong passion for providing neuroaffirming adult ADHD and autism assessments in a compassionate, caring manner — recognising that understanding yourself is a powerful step toward living well.
My approach draws on a range of evidence-based therapies including ACT, CBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based interventions. I adapt what I use to what works best for each individual — because you are not a diagnosis, and your care shouldn't be either.

My philosophy
How I work
Collaborative
Therapy works best when we're working together. I'll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and follow your lead on what matters most.
Neuroaffirming
I provide assessments and support that honour neurodivergent experiences — with compassion, without judgment, and with a genuine understanding of what it means to be wired differently.
Evidence-based
I draw on therapies with strong research support — adapted to your individual needs and goals. The modalities I use include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based interventions.
Holistic
I consider the whole person — your history, your relationships, your values, and your strengths — not just the presenting problem.
Treatment modalities
Treatment modalities
My practice draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, selected and tailored to each individual.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Helps you develop psychological flexibility — learning to accept difficult thoughts and feelings while committing to actions aligned with your values.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Explores the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to help you identify and shift unhelpful patterns.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
A well-researched, effective approach for processing traumatic memories and reducing their ongoing emotional impact.
Motivational Interviewing
A collaborative, person-centred approach that supports you in exploring ambivalence and building your own motivation for change.
Mindfulness-based interventions
Practices that cultivate present-moment awareness, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional reactivity.
